For all Rainbow Six Siege enthusiasts, the closing day of the Six Invitational has long been a hotbed for thrilling announcements—and this year didn’t disappoint. Ubisoft took the stage to introduce Rauora, the latest attacking operator, who comes from New Zealand.
What sets Rauora apart on the battlefield is her DOM launcher: a deployable, bullet-resistant shield that’s exclusively usable in doorways. Though it can be taken down with explosive devices, its standout feature is its activation system. Any player can fire at the trigger to open the shield, but the opening time differs by team: attackers get instant access, with the shield opening in just one second, while defenders have to wait three seconds. This gap can be game-changing, particularly when the defuser is active and every moment matters.
Beyond her signature gadget, Rauora also brings a brand-new weapon to Rainbow Six Siege: the Reaper MK2. This fully automatic pistol comes equipped with a red dot sight and an extended magazine, boosting its effectiveness in combat. If you’re looking for other options, she can also carry the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle.
