The Pokémon Company has shared new updates for Pokémon Legends Z-A, the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, and the paid add-on Hyperdimension Blast. The news dropped on the official Pokémon channels, and fans are already checking out the new video. It shows fresh footage and a clear look at the latest form added to the game: Mega Lucario Z.
New Hyperdimension Blast Video Released
A short video is now live on the Pokémon YouTube channel. It collects the newest info from the expansion and shows more scenes from battles, environments, and new Mega forms. It also includes a clean introduction to Mega Lucario Z. The clip is simple to follow and gets straight to the point.
Mega Lucario Z Joins the Game
Mega Lucario Z appears in Hyperdimension Blast. It still keeps the Aura Pokémon look, but the design is sharper and wilder. The long hair around its head and waist moves in a strong way, and its tail spreads out like a fan. In battles, this form moves fast and throws off an opponent’s sense of distance.
Parts of its body, like the hands and calves, are hardened with steel energy. When it applies force on these areas, the strikes hit harder than they look. It feels strong and very direct.

The game also shows a newly discovered Lucario form before Mega Evolution. It uses a Mega Stone to transform, which is why the developers classify it as Mega Evolution rather than a normal evolution. To avoid confusion with the older Mega Lucario, this one carries the name Mega Lucario Z.
Aura Use Expanded
Mega Lucario Z handles aura in a more flexible way.
Instead of pushing all the energy into raw power, it spreads aura through the whole body. This boosts defense and movement. It can stretch aura into a thin shield or pack it into its fists or legs. The game shows several variations of these moves. They look clean and easy to read.
The team also confirmed that more Mega Evolutions with “Z” in their names will appear in the add-on. Mega Lucario Z already shows how this style works. Moves activate fast after the player gives a command, though Mega Energy burns quickly. It pushes the player to act with focus.
Mewtwo EX Side Quest “Project Code: M” Now Playable
Another big update is the EX side mission called Project Code: M.
Players can get Mewtwo, plus Mewtwo Stone X and Mewtwo Stone Y, through the “Mystery Gift” option in both versions of Pokémon Legends Z-A.
This started on December 2.
After finishing the side mission, Mewtwo joins the player’s team. If the player gives it one of the Mega Stones from the Mystery Gift, it can Mega Evolve into Mega Mewtwo X or Mega Mewtwo Y.

How to Start “Project Code: M”
The steps are simple:
1. Claim Mewtwo Stone X and Mewtwo Stone Y
Open the “Mystery Gift” tab and select Receive via Internet.
Both stones will appear in the Mega Stone pocket of the waist pack.
2. Go to the Lydari Cafe
After claiming both stones, players must head to the Lydari Cafe.
Inside the deepest room of the Lydari Laboratory, some systems react to the stones and restart. This begins the side mission.
